Olsen, Stuelke & Affolter Earn All-Big Ten Honors

Seniors Lucy Olsen and Sydney Affolter and junior Hannah Stuelke received All-Big Ten honors for the 2024-25 season.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Three University of Iowa women’s basketball student-athletes – seniors Lucy Olsen and Sydney Affolter and junior Hannah Stuelke -- received All-Big Ten honors for the 2024-25 season, it was announced Tuesday on the Big Ten Network.  

The Hawkeyes have had a first-team All-Big Ten selection in nine consecutive seasons. 

Olsen was named a unanimous first-team selection the coaches, while also being selected to the media’s first team.  The Collegeville, Pennsylvania, native ranked fifth in the Big Ten in scoring (18 points) and third in assists (4.8) during the regular season.

It is the fourth all-conference honor of Olsen’s career.  She was a unanimous first-team All-Big EAST selection as a junior, a second-team honoree as a sophomore and an all-rookie team honoree as a freshman.

Stuelke garnered second-team honors by the media and honorable mention from the coaches after averaging 13 points and a team-high 7.9 rebounds.   It is her second straight second-team All-Big Ten honor.

Affolter was honorable mention from the media and was Iowa’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient.  She averaged 8.5 points and 8.1 rebounds en route to her first career All-Big Ten recognition.

The Hawkeyes finished the regular season 20-9 overall, notching their ninth consecutive 20-win season. It is the second-longest streak in program history.

No. 11 seed Iowa returns to the hardwood Wednesday, facing No. 14 seed Wisconsin in the opening round of the 2025 Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis. Tipoff inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse is set for approximately 7:30 p.m. (CT) and will air on Peacock and the Hawkeye Radio Network.

All seating is reserved for the 2025 TIAA Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament. All ticket packages are subject to Ticketmaster and facility fees. All 14 games of this year’s Big Ten Tournament will be broadcast live to a national audience, starting with the opening round being streamed on Peacock. The Big Ten Network (and the FOX Sports app) will broadcast the second round through semifinal games from Thursday to Saturday. The championship game on Sunday, March 9 will tip off at 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS and will be the second time the network has carried the title game.
