THE COURSE
The Ackerman-Allen Course at Purdue University is a par-72, 18-hole championship layout redesigned by legendary architect Pete Dye. Originally built in 1934 by Bill Diddle, the course was renovated to modern standards while preserving its parkland style. Spanning over 7,500 yards from the championship tees, the course features large bent-grass greens, tree-lined fairways, white sand bunkers, and minimal water hazards. Ackerman-Allen has a rich history, including hosting the 1961 NCAA Men’s Championship, where Purdue won the team title and Jack Nicklaus claimed medalist honors. Now part of the Pete Dye Trail, the course stands as a premier collegiate venue alongside Purdue’s Kampen-Cosler Course.
