IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa freshman Lily Huether has been named the team’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient, it was announced Monday by the league office.
The honor is presented to student-athletes who display good sportsmanship and ethical behavior, are in good academic standing and demonstrate good citizenship outside of athletics. It is the first of Huether’s career.
The Tucson, Arizona, native competed in seven of the team’s 11 tournaments during the 2024-25 season, posting a 78.05 scoring average over 20 rounds. Huether recorded a top 20 finish in helping the Hawkeyes win a team title at the Nashville Invitational. She posted her career-best 18 (73) and 54-hole (226) scores during the tournament.
