Hawkeyes to Face Milwaukee

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa baseball team welcomes Milwaukee to Duane Banks Field on Tuesday for a midweek matchup. First pitch is set for 4:02 p.m. (CDT), and admission is $5.

The Hawkeyes enter the contest with a 20-10 record, while the Flames sit at 9-20 on the season.

As a team, UIC is hitting .252, and its pitching staff has a 8.39 ERA. The Panthers are led by Tyler Bickers with a .333 batting average. Charlie Marion leads the team with 10 doubles and 27 RBIs. Gavin Theis leads the Milwaukee pitching staff with a 5-1 record and 4.22 ERA in eight starts.

Overall, the Hawkeyes are hitting .316 with 42 home runs. Gable Mitchell leads the team with a .365 batting average and 12 doubles. Reese Moore leads the offense with nine home runs and 33 RBIs. 

The Iowa pitching staff has a 3.73 ERA and is led by LHP Cade Obermueller, who has a 2.51 ERA over 46 2/3 innings of work. RHP Aaron Savary is 5-0 with eight starts this season.
