14 Hawkeyes Named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans

Fourteen University of Iowa gymnasts have been named Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association Scholastic All-Americans.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Fourteen University of Iowa gymnasts have been named Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association Scholastic All-Americans, it was announced Monday by the WCGA.

Hawkeye honorees include Avery Chambers, Alexa Ebeling, Emily Erb, Alyse Karenbauer, Adeline Kenlin, Cassie Lee, Gianna Masella, Marissa Rojas, Aurelie Tran, Sydney Turner, Kaia Vanney, Eva Volpe, Katelyn Wiederspahn and Reese Wilson.  

To be recognized, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 or higher GPA during the academic year or cumulatively during their collegiate career. The WGCA honored 1,218 Scholastic All-Americans in 2025 -- the most ever recorded.

Four of Iowa’s honeers -- Lee (dentistry), Tran (biochemistry & molecular biology), Vanney (health science) and Volpe (public health) – were among the 302 student-athletes in the nation who held a 4.00 GPA.
