CARY, N.C. – The University of Iowa women’s tennis team concluded play at the ITA All-American Championships on Tuesday.
Daianne Hayashida battled through a competitive three set match but ultimately fell to Reese Miller of Michigan, 3-6, 7-5 3-6.
In doubles play, senior Tereza Dejnozkova and Hayashida fell 4-6 to Yekaterina Dmitrichenko and Hlahola Mariia of Texas Tech in a match that ended early due to an injury default.
The Hawkeyes will return to competition at the Cyclone Invitational in Ames, Iowa, from October 3-5.
“It was a great tournament,” said Iowa head coach Sasha Boros. “I am very proud of the way we competed to start the season. We’re looking forward to building on our success as the fall season goes on.”
