NORMAN, Oklahoma – All seven University of Iowa women’s tennis student-athletes will travel to Norman, Oklahoma, to compete in the ITA Division I Central Regional Championships, held Oct. 16–20 at the Headington Family Tennis Center.
The Hawkeyes will compete in both singles and doubles play. In doubles, the team will be represented by the pairs of Tereza Dejnozkova and Daianne Hayashida, Pia Kranholdt and Sally Xu, and Emma Tothová and Nikita Vishwase.
Competition begins Thursday.
“We’re excited for regionals down at the University of Oklahoma,” said Iowa head coach Sasha Boros. “It’s always one of the most important tournaments of the fall. It’s a qualifier for NCAAs, and it’s also the first time we’ve been able to be together at one event as a complete team and staff. We’re really looking forward to having the entire team there to support each other.”
