Hawkeyes Complete Day 3 at ITA-All American Central Regionals

NORMAN, Oklahoma – The University of Iowa women’s tennis team continued competition at the ITA Central Regional Championships on Saturday at the Headington Family Tennis Center.

Daianne Hayashida and Pia Kranholdt continued play in the main draw singles. Hayashida earned a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Kristina Kudryavtseva of Wichita State to advance, while Kranholdt fell 6-3, 6-0 to Julia Garcia Ruiz of Oklahoma. In the round of 16, Hayashida dropped a competitive 6-3, 6-2 match to Chloé Noël of Oklahoma.

In consolation singles play, Tereza Dejnozkova defeated Yerkezhan Arystanbekova of Kansas, 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.

The Hawkeyes will continue competition on Sunday.
