Hawkeyes Complete Oklahoma Intercollegiate

Hutchinson, Kansas – The University of Iowa women’s golf team shot a final-round 307 Tuesday during the concluding day of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate at Prairie Dunes Country Club. The Hawkeyes finished tied for 10th place with a two-round total of 619 (312-307).

Originally scheduled for 54 holes, the Oklahoma Intercollegiate was shortened to 36 holes due to weather. Teams began round one Monday and completed it Tuesday morning before finishing the tournament in the afternoon.

Junior Maura Peters led the Hawkeyes, finishing tied for 41st with a 153 (72-81). She recorded four birdies and nine pars in the first round, followed by 11 pars in the second.

Senior Riley Lewis finished tied for 43rd with a 154 (76-78). She carded nine pars and two birdies in round one, then added four birdies and seven pars in the second.

Senior Shannyn Vogler finished tied for 51st, carding four birdies during the second round.

Florida captured the team title, while Megan Propeck was the only player to finish under par, earning medalist honors at 1 under.
