Gross, Sosa Sign With Iowa Tennis

Emerey Gross and Mia Sosa have signed scholar agreements with the University of Iowa tennis program, it was announced Thursday by head coach Sasha Boros.

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Emerey Gross (St. Louis, Mo.) and Mia Sosa (Bloomingdale, Ill.) have signed scholar agreements with the University of Iowa tennis program, it was announced Thursday by head coach Sasha Boros.

Both preps will join the Hawkeyes in the fall of 2026.

  • Has won eight USTA National Championship balls and four ITF tournaments
  • Was an Orange Bowl doubles finalists in 2023
  • USTA Missouri Valley High Performance Player in 2024… 2022 St. Louis Metro High School Player of the Year
  • Attended St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Louis as a freshman… was the Missouri Large School State Doubles Champion in 2022 and led her team to the state title
  • Graduating from the IMG Academy with a 4.5 grade point average
