SEASON NOTABLES
- The Hawkeyes earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament where they were tabbed as a five seed. It marked their third straight season in the NCAA Tournament, a program record, as well as their third straight season hosting a NCAA Tournament match.
- With their, 1-0, victory over South Dakota State in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament the Hawkeyes advanced to the Round of 32 for the third straight season. The Hawkeyes are one of just 11 teams to advance to the Round of 32 each of the last three seasons. (Iowa, Florida State, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Arkansas, Michigan State, North Carolina, Texas Tech, Penn State, Georgetown, and Stanford).
- Iowa’s average home attendance of 2,076 fans marked a program record for the second consecutive year. Their average home attendance ranked fifth nationally and first in the conference. In a home match against TCU, they drew a program-record regular season crowd of 2,382 fans.
- The Hawkeyes posted 10 shutouts on the season. Over the last three seasons, the Iowa defense has forced 35 shutouts in 65 games (.538).
- Iowa finished tied for third place in the Big Ten regular season standings for the second consecutive season. It ties a program record for best conference finish in program history.
-Iowa’s, 5-3, victory over No. 18 Michigan State marked the most goals scored in a game against a ranked opponent in program history. - The Hawkeyes came in the final polls at No. 21. They have been ranked every week dating back to the start of last season.

HAWKEYE FAITHFUL
- Iowa’s average home attendance of 2,076 ranked fifth nationally and first in the Big Ten. That mark set a new program record, breaking last season’s average of 1,479.
- In 2013, the year prior to DiIanni’s arrival, Iowa averaged just 522 fans per game.
- The TCU match earlier this season drew a program-record regular season crowd of 2,382 fans.
QUICK HITTERS
- Graduate student Price Loposer finished her career with 99 career games played. It tied for third for most games played in a career amongst active NCAA players.
- Goalkeeper Taylor Kane finished her career with an 18-4 record when starting at the goal. She was 7-2-0 as the Hawkeyes started this season and posted five shutouts.
- Iowa’s 27 wins over the last two seasons are its most since 2014–15 (29).
- 17 Hawkeyes scored a goal this season. Of the 17 goal scorers, eight are newcomers who have combined to score 15 goals.
- Iowa’s strength of schedule finished ranked 20th nationally.
- 15 of Iowa’s 37 goals came on set pieces.
2 FOR THE MONEY
- Iowa is 64-3-4 in its last 71 matches when scoring two or more goals dating back to October 2017.
- The Hawkeyes are 9-1-1 this season when scoring at least twice.
MIDSEASON TOP 100
Four Hawkeyes were selected to Top Drawer Soccer’s Midseason Top 100 list.
- Millie Greer was tabbed as 50th overall on the top overall player’s list.
- Three Hawkeyes were mentioned in the Top 100 Freshman list. Josie Jones (33rd), Liana Tarasco (37th), and Elle Wildman (55th).
- Jones was the ninth highest rated freshman in the Big Ten.
ALL-BIG TEN
Four Hawkeyes earned All-Big Ten postseason recognition.
- Bush and Greer both were named to the second team. Bush had earned third team honors in 2024 while
- Greer was also named second team in 2024.
- Tarasco and Wildman were named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team.
- Kane was named Iowa’s Sportsmanship Award honoree.
RAISED THE BAR
The Hawkeyes made their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance — a program record.
- Iowa has won a NCAA Tournament game in each of the last three seasons.
- Iowa defeated Bucknell (2-0) in 2023 before a record crowd of 2,639 and topped Missouri State (2-1) in 2024 with 2,267 fans. Against SDSU, Iowa won 1-0 while playing in front of 2,482 fans.
- The Hawkeyes advanced to their first-ever Sweet 16 in 2024.
- DiIanni owns a 5-6 record in NCAA Tournament play at Iowa.
- The Hawkeyes faced seven tournament teams this season, going 3-4-1 (including two matches vs. Wisconsin).

NATIONAL SIGNING DAY
The Hawkeyes signed three student-athletes on National Signing Day.
- Emma Stannard, Melisa Kekic, and Kylee Rocha.
CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT
Five Hawkeyes were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team on Nov. 26.
- Berkley Binggeli, Sofia Bush, Millie Greer, Kenzie Roling, and Abby Skiff.
- To qualify for all-district recognition, you must earn at least a 3.5 GPA while meeting a 90 percent game participation threshold.
UNITED SOCCER COACHES ALL-NORTH REGION TEAM
Three Hawkeyes were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-North Region Team.
- Sofia Bush, Millie Greer, and Iba Oching.
- Bush and Greer earned second-team honors while Oching was a fourth-team selection. Bush and Greer became just one of five Hawkeyes to earn second-team honors in program history.
ACADEMIC ALL-B1G
17 members of the Hawkeyes were named to the 2025 Big Ten Fall Academic All-Conference Team. Two members of the team had a 4.0 GPA (Charlotte Bien and Berkley Binggeli).
- Sofia Bush, Caleigh Collard, Shae Doherty, Kellen Fife, Millie Greer, Lexy Griffin, Taylor Kane, Morgan Lietz, Kelli McGroarty, Berit Parten, Eva Pattison, Kenzie Roling, Miah Schueller, Abby Skiff, and Abby Warner all earned Academic All-B1G honors.
GRADUATING HAWKEYES
Nine student-athletes either graduated or exhausted their eligibility in 2025.
- Taylor Kane, Shae Doherty, Miah Schueller, Kenzie Roling, Morgan Lietz, Kelli McGroarty, Kellen Fife, Eileen Solomon, and Price Loposer
- This group of Hawkeyes helped the program to 45 wins, 11 ranked wins, a Big Ten Championship, three NCAA Tournament appearances, three NCAA tournament wins, and a Sweet 16.
LOOKING BACK
The Hawkeyes finished the 2025 campaign with a 12-5-4 overall record and 6-2-3 Big Ten conference record.
- Started out the season with a, 3-2, victory at #6 Arkansas marking the Razorbacks first regular-season home loss since 2021.
- Defeated South Dakota State, 1-0, in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament at the Iowa Soccer Complex.
- Rose to as high as No. 5 in the rankings which marked a program record. The Hawkeyes came in the pre-season polls at No. 13 which marked the second time in program history that it earned a pre-season ranking while also marking a program record for the highest pre-season ranking in program history.
- Made the Big Ten Tournament for the fourth straight season, marking their 16th appearance all time.
- Sofia Bush, Millie Greer, and Liana Tarasco were named Big Ten Players to watch. Bush was named to the Mac Hermann Trophy watchlist becoming just the second Hawkeye (Macy Enneking, 2024) to earn the recognition. Bush was also named a midfielder to watch by Top Drawer Soccer and was named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team.

The Hawkeyes finished the season 12-5-4 advancing to the Round of 32 for the third straight season.
