Bush, Greer Named to United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Team

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Two members of the University of Iowa women’s soccer team – Sofia Bush and Millie Greer – were named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-North/Central Region Team, the United Soccer Coaches announced on Wednesday. Both Hawkeyes earned first-team honors.

Bush (Biology) and Greer (Environmental Policy & Planning) were recognized for outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments by the United Soccer Coaches. In order to qualify for the award, the student-athlete must be a junior or above in athletic standing, be in at least their second year at the school, have at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average, play a minimum of 75 percent of games during the season and be an elite player as supported by playing honors (All-American, All-Region, All-Conference).

Bush was named second team All-Big Ten this season after starting in 20 games scoring a goal and adding six assists. The Marion, Iowa native has also earned United Soccer Coaches All-North region honors, Academic All-Big Ten, CSC Academic All-District honors, and Big Ten All-Tournament Team honors this season. Bush was voted team MVP for the 2025 season by her teammates and coaches.

Greer also earned second team All-Big Ten honors in 2025. The Scottsdale, Ariz. native started in every game while leading the team with 1,827 minutes. Greer anchored an Iowa defense that posted 10 shutouts on the season. She has earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, United Soccer Coaches All-Region, and CSC Academic-All District honors in her junior season. Greer was voted as the co-defensive player of the year by her teammates and coaches.

The United Soccer Coaches will announce Scholar All-American teams on Thursday.
