Bernatsky and Pauly Close Out Bruin Diving Invitational

LOS ANGELES – University of Iowa diving duo Zita Bernatsky and Geneva Pauly competed in the platform dive on Sunday afternoon in the Spieker Aquatics Center. 

Both Hawkeyes finished in the top 20 of the preliminary round. Freshman Zita Bernatsky placed 13th with a total of 220.60 points. Senior Geneva Pauly came in 16th with a total of 218.75 points.

The final day of the UCLA Bruin Diving Invitational saw 40 divers in the preliminary round and 12 divers in the final round of the platform dive. 

Up Next: The divers will stay home for their competition at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center against Illinois and Nebraska. Diving will begin at 4 p.m. on Jan. 16 before rounding out competition on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. The swimmers will head to Champaign, Illinois, on Jan. 16-17 for their meet against the Illini and Huskers. The meet will take place in the Activities and Recreation Center. Action begins at 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
