Hawkeyes Dominate the Ducks

No. 11 Iowa (15-2, 6-0) defeated RV Oregon (14-5, 2-4) on Thursday night inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, 74-66.

Freshman Addie Deal led the Hawkeyes with a career-high 18 points, three rebounds, and an assist. Senior Hannah Stuelke also tallied 18 points, along with eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. Iowa dominated the paint, scoring 30 points and pulling down 38 rebounds throughout the Big Ten matchup.

Stuelke scored two quick points to open the first quarter following an Oregon turnover. Deal extended the lead with five points on back-to-back buckets, including a deep three and a jumper. The Hawkeyes closed the first quarter with a six-point lead after sophomore Ava Heiden converted a layup with three seconds remaining.

Graduate student Kylie Feuerbach knocked down two key threes in the second quarter. Heiden continued the momentum, capping an 8-0 run with a layup. Stuelke grabbed an offensive rebound and assisted freshman Journey Houston with six seconds left to give Iowa a 36-31 lead at halftime.

The Hawkeyes came out of the locker room on fire to start the second half. Feuerbach assisted senior Taylor McCabe on a three and Stuelke on a layup. Sophomore Chit-Chat Wright then added six points with corner and left-wing threes.

In the final quarter, Deal reached her career high with 8:36 remaining. Feuerbach made two free throws to stretch the lead to 19 points, and Heiden sealed the victory with a layup at the 1:02 mark.

- Addie Deal led Iowa with a career-high 18 points (7-9 FG), three rebounds, and an assist.
- Deal’s 18 points are the most by a freshman in a single game against a Big Ten opponent since Caitlin Clark on March 13, 2021. (Maryland)
- She reached 10+ points for the fourth time this season.
- Deal led the Hawkeyes with 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the floor in the first half.  
- Hannah Stuelke recorded 18 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.
- Stuelke set a new career-best with eight assists.
- Stuelke has registered at least 10+ points and 5+ rebounds in 11 of Iowa’s last 13 games.
- Chit-Chat Wright added nine points, four rebounds, and two assists.
- Kylie Feuerbach registered 11 points, five assists, and two steals.
- She returned to Iowa’s starting lineup for the first time since Dec. 20, 2025.
