IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa senior Hannah Stuelke the National Player of the Week the Associated Press announced on Tuesday.
Stuelke dominated in a pair of Hawkeye victories over RV Oregon and No. 15 Michigan State to improve to 7-0 in Big Ten play, Iowa’s best start to the conference slate since 2023-24.
Against the Ducks last Thursday, Stuelke helped pace Iowa’s offense to a 74-66 win. Stuelke nearly notched a triple-double with 18 points, eight rebounds, and a career-high eight assists.
On Sunday against the Spartans, Stuelke led the Hawkeye offense again with 22 points (10-14 FG), nine rebounds, and five assists. It was Stuelke’s fourth 20+ point performance of the season.
The Cedar Rapids native was also named the Big Ten’s Player of the Week on Monday.
No. 10 Iowa (16-2, 7-0) will hit the road to face No. 15 Maryland (17-3, 5-3) on Thursday, Jan. 22 at 5 p.m. (CT) in College Park. The contest will air nationally on Peacock and the Hawkeye Radio Network.
