ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Iowa rowing team finished their scrimmages with No. 15 UCF Saturday morning at Lake Pickett. No official times will be released from the scrimmage.

Iowa participated in scrimmages against UCF on both Friday and Saturday. Coaches were able to gauge boat speed across all Big 12 boat classes, 1V8 through 3V8, and had the ability to test different lineups against the live competition.

The Hawkeyes travel back to Florida for the Sunshine State Invite held at Nathan Benderson Park on March 27th and 28th.

HEAR FROM HEAD COACH JEFF GARBUTT
"Thank you to UCF for hosting us this weekend. This weekend is a great opportunity for our athletes to get back into the competing mindset after spending most of the winter training off the water. It is always important to get out on the water and compete and we were able to do that against a great opponent. I thought that our underclassmen stepped up well and competed this weekend. We were able to rebalance and learn from opportunities as a team and competed well Saturday morning."
