Stuelke Tabbed to Katrina McClain Top 10 List

Forward Hannah Stuelke was named to the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Top 10 Mid-Season list.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa forward Hannah Stuelke was named to the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Top 10 Mid-Season list on Thursday.

The Basketball Hall of Fame’s Naismith Starting 5 committee, in collaboration with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association recognize the top power forwards in women’s college basketball each year.

Stuelke averages 14 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game while shooting 55 percent from the floor. Her rebounding average is the best in the Big Ten and her field goal percentage ranks 35th nationally and seventh in the conference.

She leads Iowa with six double-doubles this season and was named the consensus national player of the week in January.

Fans can support their favorite players in the remaining rounds by participating in Fan Voting starting Friday, February 6 on hoophallawards.com. The Fan Vote will count as one vote during the final selection process.

The final 5 candidates for the award will be released to the public on a day-by-day basis starting the week of March 16, with voting set to follow on March 20. The list is fluid throughout the whole process and players have the ability to play themselves on or off our list until the winner is finally selected. The winner of this award, as well as presentation details, will be announced towards the end of the season.

Stuelke and the Hawkeyes host Minnesota tonight, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. (CT) in Iowa City. The game will air on BTN and the Hawkeye Radio Network.
