The University of Iowa women’s golf team travels to Saddle Brooke, Arizona, for the Mountain View Collegiate on March 20–22. The 54-hole tournament will be played at The Preserve Golf Club (par 72, 6,365 Yards) and begins Monday with a 9:30 a.m. (CT) shotgun start.

THE COURSE
The Preserve Golf Club in Arizona offers a scenic desert golf experience set against the backdrop of the Santa Catalina Mountains just north of Tucson. Designed by golf course architect Dick Bailey, the course opened in 2004 and features rolling fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and natural desert terrain that highlight the beauty of the surrounding landscape. The layout provides a challenging yet playable test for golfers of all skill levels, with strategic holes that make use of the area’s ridges and arroyos. With its picturesque setting and unique desert design, The Preserve has become a memorable venue for golfers visiting southern Arizona.

The Hawkeyes finished 14th at the Briar’s Creek Invitational on March 16-17, recording a 36-hole total of 596 (295-301).
Junior Ximena Benites paced Iowa, finishing with a two-round total of 146 (74–72). Benites recorded seven birdies and 20 pars across 36-holes, moving up from a tie for 36th to finish tied for 28th.
Senior Riley Lewis opened with a first-round, one-over-par 73 and followed with a two-over-par 74 in the final round, while junior Maura Peters opened with a two-over-par 74 and wrapped up the tournament with a four-over-par 76 in the final round.

• Sophomore Lily Huether recorded a career-low round of one-under-par 71 in the second round at the Shootout at Wachesaw appereance on March 9.
•Freshman Sunny Wang, competing as an individual, recorded a career-low 70 (-2) in the opening round of the Wachesaw Shootout and followed it with an even-par 72 in the final round to finish sixth overall.
• Senior Riley Lewis earned a career-best, eighth-place finish after carding rounds of 68–69–74 for a 54-hole total of 211 to open her spring season at the Puerto Rico Classic on Feb. 1-3.
• Junior Maura Peters led Iowa with an even-par 72 in the final round of the Spartan Sun Coast Collegiate on Feb. 16.
