SPOKANE, Wash. – The University of Iowa women’s wrestling team crowned two U20 national champions on Saturday as sophomore Karlee Brooks (57 kg) and freshman Bella Williams (62 kg) each swept their best-of-three finals series.
Brooks secured her U20 World Team spot at 57 kg with a two-match sweep over Molly Allen (Oklahoma State). She recorded back-to-back falls, winning in 2:13 in round one before closing the series with a pin in 2:58 in round two.
At 62 kg, Williams claimed the title with a dominant two-match sweep over Carley Ceshker. The freshman opened with a technical fall, 11-1, and followed with a 6-0 decision to secure the championship. Williams allowed just five points throughout the tournament.
Incoming freshmen Taylor Whiting (53 kg) and Everest Leydecker (55 kg) also earned U20 World Team spots. The four Hawkeyes will represent the United States at the 2026 U20 World Championships.
