No. 41 Iowa Falls at No. 45 Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. — The 41st-ranked University of Iowa women’s tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 45 Nebraska (15-6, 7-4) on Saturday at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center.

Nebraska opened the match by claiming the doubles point. At No. 3, Emma Rizzetto and Yuzi Myoshi defeated Nikita Vishwase and Pia Kranholdt, 6-3. On court one, No. 38 Katie Spencer and Conley Raidt earned a 6-3 victory over No. 68 Daianne Hayashida and Mia Mack to secure the point for the Huskers.

The remaining match on court two was left unfinished, with Reya Lee Coe and Natalia Trigosso leading Tereza Dejnozkova and Emma Tothová, 4-3.

In singles play, Nebraska extended its lead to two with Spencer defeating Dejnozkova, 6-4, 6-2, on court two. The Hawkeyes tallied their lone point of the match on court one, where No. 62 Mack outlasted Maria Taranova in three sets, 6-0, 1-6, 6-0.

The Huskers responded with two straight-set victories. At No. 6, Tiziana Rossini edged Kranholdt, 6-4, 7-5. On court four, Rizzetto claimed a 6-2, 6-7(4) victory over Tothová.

The remaining singles matches were left unfinished with the Huskers clinching its fourth point of the match. At No. 3, Hayashida led Raidt, 6-4, 6-2, while Vishwase was battling Catherine Gagnon, 7-5, 5-5, on court five.
