The University of Iowa women’s golf team travels to Glendale, Calif., for the Big Ten Championships on April 24–26. The 54-hole tournament will be played at Oakmont Country Club, which will play as a par 70 at 6,086 yards on Friday, 6,134 yards on Saturday, and 6,107 yards on Sunday. Play begins Friday with a 10:30 a.m. (CT) shotgun start.

Iowa’s lineup includes senior Riley Lewis, junior Maura Peters, junior Ximena Benites, freshman Sunny Wang, sophomore Lily Huether, and senior Kaitlyn Hanna (ALT).
THE FIELD
The 18-team field includes: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, UCLA, USC, Washington, and Wisconsin.
THE COURSE
Oakmont Country Club is a historic private golf club located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in Glendale, California. Established in 1922, the club is known for its classic parkland-style course, which blends natural terrain with strategic design to create a challenging yet scenic experience for golfers of all skill levels. Oakmont is well regarded for its well-maintained fairways, tree-lined holes, and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The Hawkeyes finished 14th at the Huntington Bank Collegiate on April 6-7, recording a 54-hole total of 888 (301-297-290).
Junior Maura Peters led the Hawkeyes at the Huntington Bank Collegiate with a 54-hole total of 219 (73-73-73), finishing tied for 34th place.
Senior Riley Lewis and junior Ximena Benites each carded a 1-under-par 71 in the final round at the Huntington Bank Collegiate. Lewis finished with a 54-hole total of 221 (75-75-71) and tied for 44th, while Benites posted a 223 (79-73-71) to tie for 56th.
Senior Kaitlyn Hanna finished tied for 78th with a 54-hole total of 230 (76-76-78), while senior Shannyn Vogler placed 80th with a 231 (77-79-75) at the Huntington Bank Collegiate.
OF NOTE…
•Four Hawkeyes recorded their career-best 54-hole totals: Ximena Benites (214), Maura Peters (214), Lily Huether (220), and Sunny Wang (222) at the Mountain View Collegiate.
• The Hawkeyes posted a season-best 54-hole team score of 7-under-par (857), finishing in third place at the Mountain View Collegiate.
• Junior Maura Peters led the Hawkeyes at the Huntington Bank Collegiate with a 54-hole total of 219 finishing ina tie for 34th place.
• Freshman Sunny Wang is set to make her Big Ten Championships debut.
