HEAR FROM HEAD COACH STACY MAY-JOHNSON
“We got down, and that’s not a team we want to play from behind against,” head coach Stacy May-Johnson said. “They’re tough, and they’re going to compete for a national championship. We had to be clean in every facet to beat them.
“All of our goals are still in front of us. The things we want to control are still in our control, and we’re looking forward to our midweek game and Purdue next weekend.”
NOTABLES
• Kiara Sipe and Brianna Johnson each went 1 for 2.
• Serayah Neiss is eight strikeouts away from 400 for her career.
