NAPLES, Fla. – The University of Iowa men’s golf finished round two of the Calusa Cup on Monday. The Hawkeyes fired a three-under-par 285 and sit in fifth place. The round marks Iowa’s lowest 18-hole score in program history at Calusa Pines Golf Club, besting yesterday’s 289.
"I’m happy we how we started the round. The guys were ready to play, we made a few more birdies and turned with good momentum," said Head Coach Tyler Stith. "We had to grind a little more on the back but the guys made several key up and downs."
The Hawkeyes are currently two strokes ahead of No. 34 Louisville and 30 strokes ahead of Miami (Ohio). Three Hawkeyes finished under par on the day, each carding a one-under 71.
