DALLAS, Texas — The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished 14th out of 17 teams after the final round of the Huntington Bank Collegiate, hosted at Trinity Forest Golf Club. The Hawkeyes posted rounds of 301, 297 and 290 for a 54-hole total of 888.
Junior Maura Peters led Iowa with a 54-hole total of 219 (73-73-73). She recorded three birdies and 11 pars in the final round and finished tied for 34th.
Senior Riley Lewis and junior Ximena Benites each carded a 1-under-par 71 in the final round. Lewis finished with a 54-hole total of 221 (75-75-71) and tied for 44th, while Benites posted a 223 (79-73-71) to tie for 56th.
Senior Kaitlyn Hanna finished tied for 78th with a 54-hole total of 230 (76-76-78). Senior Shannyn Vogler placed 80th with a 231 (77-79-75).
Oklahoma State won the team title with a 54-hole total of 839. Marta Silchenko of Oklahoma State earned medalist honors with a 13-under-par 203 (67-68-68).
