IOWA CITY, Iowa – Four University of Iowa tennis student-athletes – seniors Tereza Dejnozkova, Daianne Hayashida and Pia Kranholdt and sophomore Emma Tothova – have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections, it was announced Tuesday by the CSC.
It is the third straight year Hayashida and Kranholdt have earned the distinction, and it is the first career honor for Dejnozkova and Tothova.
To be eligible for the award, nominees must have a 3.50 GPA, completed one full calendar year at their current institution and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Nominees must also be a starter or important reserve to the team and have participated in at least 70 percent of the team’s contests.
Hayashida and Kranholdt are both double majors in psychology and sport and recreation management, while Dejnozkova and Tothova are both majoring in enterprise leadership.
On the court, Hayashida finished second on the team with 13 singles and 15 doubles victories. Dejnozkova won 11 singles and 14 doubles matches, Tothova posted 10 singles and 10 doubles victories and Kranholdt had nine singles and a team-high 16 doubles wins.
Iowa finished the season with 12 victories during the 2026 season and advanced to the Big Ten Tournament.
