Shellberg Completes Round 1 at NCAA Regionals

COLUMBUS, Ohio - University of Iowa sophomore Ryan Shellberg completed the opening round of the NCAA Regionals on Monday.

The Prosper, Texas, native finished at four-over par, highlighted by back-to-back birdies on holes 11 and 12. Shellberg is tied for 42nd place and sits ahead of three top-70 golfers in the field.

Florida’s Parker Sands leads the field after carding a five-under par in round one. Shellberg defeated Sands earlier this season at the Calusa Cup.

Shellberg returns to action Tuesday for the second round, teeing off at 8:42 a.m. (CT).
