IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa field hockey team released the details of its 2026 schedule on Thursday. The Hawkeyes’ 17-game slate will include nine contests at Grant Field.
Schedule Notables
– Iowa will open the season in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, at the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The Hawkeyes are scheduled to face Wake Forest at 6 p.m. on Aug. 28, followed by a matchup against North Carolina at 11 a.m. on Aug. 30.
– Iowa will open Big Ten play at Grant Field on Sept. 18 against Indiana, followed by a nonconference meeting with the Hoosiers on Sept. 20. The Hawkeyes’ conference road schedule features trips to Michigan (Oct. 2), Michigan State (Oct. 4), Northwestern (Oct. 9), and Maryland (Oct. 30).
– The Hawkeyes will host Big Ten games at Grant Field against Indiana (Sep. 20), Ohio State (Sep. 25), Rutgers (Oct. 23), and Penn State (Oct. 25). The Hawkeyes will also face Ohio State on Sep. 27 in non conference contest.
– Iowa will also have nonconference matchups against Miami (Ohio) and Louisville in Evanston, Illinois. The Hawkeyes will host Lehigh and Ball State at Grant Field.
– The 2026 Big Ten Tournament will be held in Columbus, Ohio, from Nov. 5-8.
Iowa finished the 2025 season with a 14-6 overall record.
