Iowa Named ITA All-Academic Team; 5 Hawkeyes Named Scholar Athletes

The University of Iowa tennis team was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team and five Hawkeyes were tabbed as ITA Scholar Athletes, the announcement was made Monday by the ITA.

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa tennis team was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team and five Hawkeyes were tabbed as ITA Scholar Athletes, the announcement was made Monday by the ITA.

Iowa’s four ITA Scholar Athlete selections were seniors Tereza Dejnozkova, Dianne Hayashida and Pia Kranholdt along with junior Mia Mack and sophomore Emma Tothova. It is the fourth career honor for Hayashida and Kranholdt and the first for Dejnozkova, Mack and Tothova.

The quartet was honored for posting at least a 3.5 grade point average for the 2026-26 academic year.  Hayashida and Kranholdt graduated with double majors in psychology and sport and recreation management, while Dejnozkova graduated with a degree in enterprise leadership.

Mack is majoring in psychology, and Tothova is majoring in enterprise leadership with an economics minor.

The Hawkeyes earned the team honor after posting a 3.69 grade point average during the 2025-26 season.  To be honored teams must have a 3.2 or above GPA on a 4.0 scale.
