Cross Country Finalizes 2026 Schedule

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa cross country finalized its 2026 schedule, associate head coach of cross country Randy Hasenbank announced on Tuesday.

Iowa opens its season with the annual Hawkeye Invitational at the Ashton Cross Country Course on Friday, Sept. 4. The first race begins at 6:30 p.m. (CT).

The Hawkeyes continue their season on Sept. 18 at the Iowa State Invitational in Ames. On Oct. 9, Iowa gets a preview of the Big Ten Championships by heading to the Nuttycombe Invite in Madison, Wisconsin. The regular season concludes with a trip to Peoria and the Bradley Pink Classic on Oct. 16.

Iowa enters postseason competition with the Big Ten Championships on Oct. 30 and turns its attention to the NCAA Midwest Regionals in Ames on Nov. 13. Qualifiers from that meet will punch their tickets to the NCAA Championships on Nov. 21 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
