Bush, Greer Named to MAC Herman Trophy Watch List

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Two University of Iowa women’s soccer student-athletes – fourth-years Sofia Bush and Millie Greer – have been named to the MAC Herman Trophy Watch List, it was announced Wednesday by United Soccer Coaches.

It is the second straight year Bush has been named to the watch list and it is her fourth preseason honor. The midfielder was tabbed as a “Midfielder to Watch” by United Soccer Coaches, a Big Ten Player to Watch and was ranked No. 57 in Top Drawer Soccer’s Preseason Women’s Soccer Top 100 list.

Greer becomes only the third Hawkeye to be named to the MAC Herman Trophy Watch List.  It is Greer’s fourth preseason honor as she was named to a “Defender to Watch” by United Soccer Coaches, a Big Ten Player to Watch and was ranked No. 72 in Top Drawer Soccer’s Preseason Women’s Top 100 list.

The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation’s highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined by voting of Division I head coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches. The 2026 recipients will be announced on January 8, 2027, in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Hawkeyes open the season Wednesday, hosting Milwaukee at 7 p.m. (CT) at the Iowa Soccer Complex. Admission is free.
