IOWA CITY, Iowa - Head coach Jeff Garbutt released the University of Iowa rowing schedule on Monday for the 2026-27 season.
The Hawkeyes will begin their season with two competitions at home, hosting Indiana on Oct. 9-10 and Drake on Oct. 17. They will travel to Lake Carnegie on Nov. 1 for the Princeton Chase.
Throughout the fall and spring seasons, the Hawkeyes will compete in nine competitions. They return to the Princeton Chase in Princeton, N.J., where last season, two boats recorded program best times for the 3-mile course. The Hawkeyes will also once again compete against UCF, and in the Sarasota 2k, Rocky Top Invite, and Big Ten Invite.
The Hawkeyes look to build on an impressive end to last season, scoring their highest point total under head coach Jeff Garbutt at last year’s Big Ten Championships.
HEAR FROM HEAD COACH JEFF GARBUTT
“We are very excited to get the 2026-27 school year and rowing season underway. Once again, we have a very competitive and challenging schedule, both against our Big Ten rivals and in nonconference competition. Our two trips to Sarasota for the Sarasota 2K and Big Ten Invitational will be great tests for our team. The staff and I believe this schedule will prepare us well for the Big Ten Championships in Indianapolis. Go Hawks!"
