IOWA CITY, Iowa – The No. 25 University of Iowa women’s soccer team played Nebraska to a scoreless draw Sunday afternoon at the Iowa Soccer Complex.
With the draw, Iowa moves to 5-2-2, while Nebraska moves to 2-2-4.
Defender Millie Greer received a red card in the 25th minute, forcing the Hawkeyes to play with 10 players for the final 65 minutes. Iowa entered halftime scoreless with Nebraska after recording seven shots in the opening 45 minutes.
Nebraska held advantages in shots, 19-13, and corner kicks, 7-5, but Iowa’s defense held firm despite playing shorthanded. Goalkeeper Braelynn Galt recorded a season-high seven saves to preserve the clean sheet, while Nebraska goalkeeper Avery Gillahan finished with five saves.
