IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s basketball team will face Utah and Navy at the 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship, event organizers announced Wednesday.
The Hawkeyes will open the event against Utah on Monday, Nov. 23 at 12:30 p.m. (CT) before facing Navy on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 10 a.m. Both games will be played at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center in Nassau, Bahamas.
The six-team field also includes Miami, Michigan and Toledo. Each team will play twice, with three games scheduled for both Nov. 23 and Nov. 25.
Five teams in the field reached postseason play last season. Iowa and Michigan earned berths in the 2026 NCAA Tournament, while Miami, Navy and Utah appeared in the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament. Navy finished 22-9 and won the Patriot League regular-season title. Utah posted a 19-13 record and earned its fifth consecutive postseason berth.
The matchup with Utah will be the first between the programs since the second round of the 2001 NCAA Tournament. Iowa and Navy will meet for the first time.
Iowa finished the 2025-26 season 27-7 overall and tied for second in the Big Ten with a 15-3 conference mark. The Hawkeyes advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, earned their eighth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth and extended their streak to 10 straight 20-win seasons.
