IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa Moon Family Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa football team invite Hawkeye women to participate in a special, one-time-only event: the Iowa Ladies' Football Academy: Wave Edition, set to take place on Saturday, June 12, 2027, inside Kinnick Stadium. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UI Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital.
The one-day event offers behind-the-scenes access to Kinnick Stadium and the Iowa football program. Participants will get an inside look at Hawkeye football while honoring one of the most beloved traditions in college sports.
Event Highlights:
- Learn the Game: Direct instruction and insights from current Iowa football players and coaching staff.
- Swarm Kinnick: Experience running out onto the field to "Back in Black" alongside the team.
- Famous Pink Locker Room: Tour Kinnick Stadium’s legendary visiting locker room.
- Celebrate The Wave: In honor of its 10-year anniversary, participants will join in waving to the patients and families at the UI Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital.
Registration & Fundraising Requirements: Registration for the event is $100 (nonrefundable). To participate, attendees must also raise a minimum of $750 in fundraising support, with all funds directly supporting the NICU at UI Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital.
