Fréderique van Cleef Wins Back-to-Back Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week Honors

University of Iowa fifth-year student-athlete Fréderique van Cleef has been named the Big Ten Co Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week, the organization announced Tuesday.

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa fifth-year student-athlete Fréderique van Cleef has been named the Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Van Cleef totaled six goals and two assists for 14 points in Iowa victories over Lehigh and Ball State. The Asten, Netherlands, native recorded back-to-back hat tricks in the two games while posting an impressive .714 shots-on-goal percentage.

Van Cleef has opened the season in dominant fashion, leading the Hawkeyes with eight goals and three assists through four games while recording an .810 shots-on-goal percentage. She currently leads the nation in goals per game (2.00) and points per game (4.75).

The second-ranked Hawkeyes return to action Friday against No. 16 Miami (Ohio) at 11 a.m. (CT) in Evanston, Illinois. The game will be streamed on B1G+.
