Walker to Compete in Millrose Games

Sprinter Kalen Walker will participate in the 60-meter dash at the historic Millrose Games in New York City on Feb. 1.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa sprinter Kalen Walker will participate in the 60-meter dash at the historic Millrose Games in New York City on February 1.

Walker will compete at approximately 3:20 p.m. (CT). The event will be televised on NBC. More meet information can be found here.

A senior from Eddyville, Iowa, Walker was a first-team All-American in the 60 meters in 2024. He is Iowa’s school record holder with a 6.51 mark set twice during the 2024 season, including in the prelims at the Big Ten Indoor Championships.

The Millrose Games began in 1908 and will take place for the 118th time at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory, where it moved to in 2012. The Armory has earned the nickname of “The Fastest Track in the World.” Before moving to The Armory, the meet took place at Madison Square Garden.

Prior to the Millrose Games, the Iowa track and field program will host the Larry Wieczorek Invitational on January 23-24, before traveling to the Meyo Invitational on January 30-31.
