Peters Leads Hawkeyes Through 36 Holes at Route 66 Invitational

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Maura Peters led the University of Iowa women's golf team through the opening 36 holes of the Route 66 Invitational honoring Dale McNamara on Monday at The Golf Club of Oklahoma.

Peters is tied for 19th at 4-over-par 148 (73-75). She opened with a 1-over-par 73 before carding a 3-over-par 75 in the second round. Peters enters Tuesday's final round two strokes outside the top 10.

The Hawkeyes sit in 13th place with a 36-hole total of 614 (+38), posting rounds of 306 and 308. Host Tulsa leads the 16-team field at 577 (+1), followed by Georgia Southern at 585 (+9) and Coastal Carolina at 588 (+12).

Ximena Benites is tied for 37th at 8-over-par 152 following consecutive rounds of 76. Competing as an individual, Maria Moczarska is tied for 46th at 10-over-par 154 (76-78).

Eva Kristinsdottir is tied for 64th at 13-over-par 157 (78-79), followed by Sunny Wang in a tie for 68th at 14-over-par 158 (80-78). Lily Huether sits 78th at 16-over-par 160 (79-81).
