IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa rowing team will travel to Princeton, N.J., on Sunday, Nov. 1, for the Princeton Chase. The Hawkeyes will race on Lake Carnegie beginning at 9 a.m. (CT) in their final event of the fall.
At last year's Princeton Chase, Iowa's top eight finished 15th in a field of 62 boats, while both Hawkeye eights recorded program-best times on the three-mile course.
HEAR FROM HEAD COACH JEFF GARBUTT
“We are very excited to head out to Princeton once again for the Chase. It is one of the team’s favorite events of the year and a great way to test the fitness we’ve gained over the fall and see what we need to do as we go into the winter season. With teams from the ACC, SEC, Big 12, Big Ten power Rutgers and our host, Ivy powerhouse Princeton, the table is set for an exciting day of racing! We will row three eights in the first round, then split two of those eights into four fours for the second round. Our third eight will also compete in the second round. Go Hawks!”
