Hawkeyes Open Fall Season With Indiana Scrimmage

Two-day scrimmage set for Friday and Saturday at West Overlook Beach

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa rowing team will open its fall season Friday and Saturday with a two-day scrimmage against Indiana at West Overlook Beach at Coralville Lake. Friday’s session will run from 3-5 p.m., while Saturday’s session is scheduled for 7-10 a.m. (CT).

HEAR FROM HEAD COACH JEFF GARBUTT
“We are very excited to host the Hoosiers this weekend for our joint practice sessions. Unfortunately, high river levels have forced us to relocate the scrimmage to West Overlook Beach at Coralville Lake rather than the Iowa River. Coach Peterson always has the Hoosiers ready, and this will be an outstanding first test for the Hawkeyes this season. This is a crucial piece of our growth and will help us recalibrate and continue to develop as a squad. I encourage anyone who can make it out Saturday morning to come watch, learn and cheer us on.”
