Betsy Lawson Season 2012-13

2012-13… Competed in two spring events… placed second in the 1N8 and helped team take home second place in the final team standings at the Dale England Cup… placed seventh in the 1N8 and helped team take home sixth place in the final team standings at the Big Ten Championships… letterwinner.

Before Iowa… Member of the Toledo Metropolitan Rowing Club… club coach was Nick Heppner… holds the boathouse record (Toledo Rowing Club) for the fastest women’s 2k time.

Personal… Born October 6, 1993… daughter of Mark and Ginny Lawson… open major… lists Jesus Christ and Katy Kroll as the most influential people in her life.

Why Iowa… I chose Iowa because I loved the way I felt when I was on campus and in the boathouse. There was nowhere else I’d rather be.
