2024 — Indoor – did not compete… Outdoor – placed fourth in 800 meters with a season-best 1:50.73 at Jim Click Shootout… letterwinner.
2023 — competed at Portland State… Indoor – set an indoor best in 800 meters while moving up to sixth all time in the event at Husky Classic (1:52.78)… moved up to 10th all-time in 400 meters at Portland Indoor Two (49.72)… ran collegiate bests in 600 meters at Lauren McCuskey Memorial (1:19.73) and 1,000 meters at UW Indoor Preview (2:29.88).
2022 — competed at Portland State… Indoor – ran third leg on distance medley relay that placed sixth at Big Sky Championships (10:18.24)… ran season bests in 600 meters at Portland Indoor #3 (1:23.19), 800 meters at UW Invite (1:54.99), and 1,000 meters at UW Preview (2:34.29)… Outdoor – Big Sky runner-up in 800 meters with a collegiate-best 1:50.24, earning all-conference honors… became just the third Viking ever to qualify for the NCAA West Prelims in the 800 meters… named Big Sky Athlete of the Week after winning the open section of the 800 meters at the Oregon Relays (1:51.63)… ran collegiate-best 1,500 meters at L&C Spring Break Open (4:10.50)… cracked 1:50 officially with a personal best of 1:49.51 at the Portland Track Festival.
2021 — competed at Portland State… Outdoor – ran season bests in 400 meters (51.74) and 800 meters (1:53.95) at OSU High Performance Meet.
2020 — competed at Portland State… Indoor – placed sixth in 800 meters at Big Sky Championships (1:56.00), running a season-best 1:54.27 in prelims.
2019 — competed at Portland State… Indoor – ran season-best 1:54.94 in 800 meters at D1 Invite Team Challenge… Outdoor – placed third in 800 meters with a season-best 1:50.92 at Big Sky Championships, earning all-conference honors… that time was the best by a Viking freshman in the event in the past 16 years.
High School — four-sport letterwinner, earning letters in football, wrestling, track & field and baseball during all four years… two-time Conference Track & Field Athlete of the Year (2017, 2018)… three-time all-state honoree in track…won two state titles as a member of his 1,600-meter relay team in 2017, and his 3,200-meter relay team in 2018… all-state and all-conference honoree in football as a senior in 2017… four-time all-conference honoree in wrestling (2015-18) and track (2015-18)… coached by Mark Bullington and Bruce Sinner.
Personal — born September 9, 1999… son of Brenda and Justin Lovercheck…has a sister, Kelci, who competes in cross country and track at Minot State… four-year Honor Roll student… Student Body Vice President… National Honor Society President… played for the Westco club baseball team (2016-18)… pursuing a Master of Science in occupational and environmental health/agricultural safety and health.
