2011 Summer – Competed in U.S. Amateur with exemption earned at 2010 U.S. Amateur… qualified for 2011 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.

2011 Spring – Competed in five events for the Hawkeyes, including two match play tournaments and three stroke play competitions… the only Hawkeye to go undefeated (3-0) at the Big Ten Match Play.. compiled a team-leading record of 5-2 throughout two match play events… helped Iowa to a third place finish at the LSU Collegiate Invitational… fired a season low round of 73 at NCAA Regional… finished season with a stroke average of 74.33.

2010 Summer – Qualified for quarterfinals at 2010 U.S. Amateur… 2010 Iowa State Amateur Championship runner-up… fourth place at Northwest Iowa Amateur… third place at Herman Sani Invitational.

2010 Spring – Transferred to Iowa for spring semester.

2008-2009 – Competed in five events as a sophomore at Central Florida… helped the Knights claim Conference USA championship… tied for 27th at UK Bluegrass Invitational… competing as an individual, finished third at the Rio Pinar Invitational.

2007-08 – Made four appearances as a freshman at Arizona State… finished top-5 in both the Angel Park Shootout and the Bill Cullum Invitational… finished season with a 73.4 scoring average.

High School – Captained high school golf team at Hampton-Dumont (Iowa) HS as a senior in 2007… attended the Westminster Christian School in Miami, Fla. during his junior year of high school…named first team all-Miami Dade County…was the 2006 Pepsi Little Peoples Golf Champion…helped his team make its first ever appearance at the Florida state tournament, where he tied for 9th individually…is a 17-time medalist in Florida and Iowa high school golf.

Personal – Born 2/26/89 in Mason City, IA… parents are Sam and Cindy Dirksen… has an older brother, Dustin (27), who was a member of the golf team at Northwood University and an older sister, Misty (24), who competed for the Georgia Tech track and cross country teams… transferred to Iowa after completing freshman year at Arizona State and sophomore year at Central Florida.
