Delayna Cotton

Delayna Cotton is in her first year as director of football recruiting operations for the Iowa football program.

The last three years she has served on the Wisconsin Athletics Academic Services staff as the academic advisor for women’s basketball and men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams. In March 2023, Delayna transitioned to serving as an academic advisor for football.

Prior to Wisconsin, Cotton worked as a graduate assistant for the University of Iowa’s Student-Athlete Academic Services team. She worked with students from various sports, supporting them through mentorship, academic advising and recruiting.

Originally from Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Cotton graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in sport management. She continued her education at Iowa, receiving her master's in educational policy and leadership studies on the higher education and student affairs track.
