High School — First-team all-conference as a senior… team captain and MVP as a senior… best times are 20.58 (50 free), 45.33 (100 free), and 53.10 (100 back)… also competed in soccer, playing for the Iowa Olympic Development team that won regionals and a bronze medal at nationals… team represented United States in Brazil… National Honor Society, Red & White Honor Roll… recipient of John Chambers Memorial Leadership Award… high school coaches were John Burkle and Ivan Sanchez.
