2017-18 Honors — Recipient of the Irving B. Weber Leadership Award… Academic All-Big Ten. 2017-18 — Swam a career-best in the 200 free (1:40.15) at the Big Ten Championships.

2016-17 Honors — Academic All-Big Ten. 2016-17 — Swam season-best times in 200 free (1:41.17), 500 free (4:29.18), 1,000 free (9:32.42), and 1,650 (15:52.80) free… ranked second on the team in the 1,650 and third in the 1,000 free.

2015-16 Honors — Academic All-Big Ten selection. 2015-16 — Swam collegiate-bests in 200 free (1:40.77), 1,000 free (9:38.81), 1,650 free (15:49.74), and 100 back (55.63)… second on the team in 1,650 free, third in 1,000 free, and fourth in 500 free… had a season-best time of 4:31.01 (500 free)… won the 500 free in the season-opening dual at Illinois Chicago (4/26).

2014-15 at Auburn — Competed as a freshman at Auburn University… posted top times of 1:40.53 (200 free), 4:25.94 (500 free), 9:21.70 (1,000 free), and 15:42.04 (1,650 free)… was second on the team in the 1,000 and 1,650 freestyle events and fourth in the 500 free… also saw action in the 400 and 800-free relays.

High School — All-America honoree in 200 and 500 free… 2012 and 2013 News Press Swimmer and Athlete of the Year as a senior… Florida Dairy Farmers 3A Swimmer of the Year in 2014… 2013 Fort Myers Rotary South Scholar Athlete of the Year… Fort Myers High School Swimming and Diving MVP… state champion in 500 free and 200 free as a junior and senior… USA Swimming National Select Camp selection in 2013… USA Swimming Scholastic All-American from 2012-14… high school coach was Mac Kennedy.

Personal — Born May 10, 1996… son of Brooke and Ellen Samuelson… has one sister, Lauren, who swims at Centre College… majoring in sport and recreation management.
