Hawk Item — Closed out his career with the ninth-fastest time in school history in the 400 IM (3:55.03).

2017-18 — Competed in the 50 free, 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM, and 400 IM… swam a collegiate best in the 200 IM (1:50.95) and 400 IM (3:55.03) at the Big Ten Championships.

2016-17 — Swam to a season-best time in the 200 IM (1:52.89), 400 IM (4:05.35), and 200 fly (1:53.84)… ranked third on the team in the 400 IM and fourth in the 200 IM.

2015-16 — Swam collegiate-bests in 200 free (1:46.77), 500 free (4:43.58), 100 back (53.82), and 200 breast (2:11.09)… had a season-best time of 1:56.01 (200 fly), 200 IM (1:53.66), and 400 IM (4:03.79)… ranked second on the team in the 400 IM.

2014-15 — Swam collegiate-best times in the 500 free (4:45.72), 100 breast (1:02.82), 100 fly (53.95), 200 fly (1:52.07), 200 IM (1:52.11), and 400 IM (3:59.35)… 400 IM time was second-fastest on the team… posted eight top-5 finishes, included a win at the Shamrock Invite, taking first in the 200 IM (1:57.34)… letterwinner.

High School — Posted three top-eight finishes as a senior, winning the 100-breast, placing third in 200 IM, and eighth in 100 breast… team captain as senior… led team to 4A state title… led team to conference, district, and regional titles and a state runner-up finish as a junior… placed fourth in 200 IM at state meet… team MVP as a freshman in Ohio… set school records in 200-free, 500-free, 200-IM, and in 200 and 400 free relays… high school coach was Lisa Bitting.

Personal — Born April 16, 1996… son of Kris and Shelly Hoce… has one younger brother, Gibson… majoring in interdepartmental studies.
