2019-20 Honors — Academic All-Big Ten selection… Dean’s List for fall semester. 2019-20 — Swam collegiate-best times in the 50 free (20.59), 100 free (45.35), and 200 free (1:42.65)… had a season-best time of 49.99 in 100 fly.
2018-19 Honors — Academic All-Big Ten selection… Big Ten Distinguished Scholar… named to the Dean’s List during the fall and spring semesters. 2018-19 – Swam season-bests in the 50 free (20.73) and 100 free (46.40) at the Shamrock Invitational, and a season-best of 49.89 in the 100 fly against Western Illinois.
2017-18 — Swam to a career-best time in the 100 fly (49.58) at the Big Ten Championships… posted season-bests in the 50 free (20.73) and 100 free (46.66).
2016-17 — Swam to collegiate-best times in 50 free (20.69), 100 free (45.71), and 200 free (1:47.23).
High School — All-state selection as a senior… placed third in the 50 free and 11th in the 100 free at the state meet… conference champion in 50 free and 100 free from sophomore to senior years… holds school records with career best times in 50 free (20.98) and 100 free (46.04)… high school coach was Bryan Szweda.
Personal — Born July 16, 1998, in Omaha, Nebraska… son of Dan and Katie Dumford… both parents are Iowa swimming and diving alums… has two younger sisters, Lucy and Rose… majoring in environmental engineering.
