#6 Alexandria Seydel Season 2007-08

2008 as a Junior… Academic all-Big Ten… started all 21 matches… scored two goals and had two assists on the season… converted penalty kick against Missouri (Sept. 19)… also scored against Wisconsin (Oct. 26)… Seydel’s two assists came at Iowa State (Sept. 21) and in Iowa’s Big Ten Tournament match against Penn State (Nov. 6)… recorded 14 shots.

2007 as a Sophomore… Academic all-Big Ten… Started all 20 matches… led team in assists (four)… recorded first collegiate goal against South Dakota State (Sept. 23), which was also game-winner… recorded 23 shots.

2006 as a Freshman… Started all 19 matches… tallied 16 shots, including five shots on goal.

High School… Four-year team captain… three-time all-CIF and three-time all-league selection… named league Player of the Year as a sophomore… recipient of the Coca-Cola Golden Kick Award as a junior… two-time team MVP… led high school team to division II championship as a junior… member of the PQ Premier club team for nine years and San Diego Surf SC club team for two years.

Personal… Born November 10, 1987… daughter of Ann and Eric Seydel… business and pre-law major… attended Westview High School and was coached by Peter Stogsdill and Colin Chesters.
