#13 Zoë Bessert Season 2022-23

2023 Honors – All-Big Ten Sportsmanship Team. 2023 – Made one start through six games played… scored a goal on lone career shot against Nebraska on Oct. 7 .

2022 Honors – Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors… redshirt season… letterwinner.

2021 Honors – Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors… letterwinner. 2021 – Appeared in two games this season against DePaul (8/19) and Saint Louis (8/22), logging 31 minutes.

2020 Honors – Named to the Dean’s List during the fall and spring semesters. 2020 – Appeared in one game against Penn State (3/25), logging 13 minutes.

 

High School — Played sophomore through senior seasons with the NRL/National League Development Academy… all-conference as a freshman… led team in goals and assists… named Rookie of the Year… led club team to the 2017 national championship… won state, regional and national titles… also was a state qualifier swimmer in 50 breast, 50 fly, and 50 free… played club soccer for Grosse Pointe Breakers, Michigan Burn, and Nationals… was named to All-Academic team as a freshman… high school coach was Olivia Dallaire… club coach was Gronthik Chatterjee.

Personal — Born March 18, 2002, in Detroit… daughter of Link and Stephanie Bessert… father played collegiate hockey at University of Illinois Chicago… has a younger brother, Ben… open major.
