Ella McVey

Ella McVey joined the Athletics Development team in August 2025. In her current role, she handles major gift fundraising and acts as a sport liaison for Iowa Women's Gymnastics.

Ella graduated from the University of Michigan in May 2025 where she majored in communication and media studies and minored in entrepreneurship.

A four-year letterwinner on the Michigan softball team, McVey played shortstop and contributed to their Big Ten Tournament titles in 2024 and 2025. She served as team captain her senior year and was actively involved in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Michigan.

Prior to joining the Athletics Development team, McVey interned with Michigan Athletics Development in the Summer 2024 and worked in ticket operations for the Iowa Cubs in the Summer 2025.

McVey is a native of Des Moines, Iowa and attended Dowling Catholic High School.
